How much does a website cost in Ticino?
With us you pay a fixed monthly fee, with no deposit, and everything is included: build, hosting, updates, Google profile and report. For comparison, in Switzerland a website for a small business costs between 2,000 and 8,000 francs as a one-off, plus maintenance every year. The exact fee depends on your sector and what you need: we tell you at the first meeting, and you see it in writing before you sign. Seeing the preview of your website costs nothing either way.
Is the website mine? What happens if I stop?
The content you give us – text, photographs, logo – stays yours, and the domain name is registered in your name. If you stop, we hand over the content and the domain stays yours. Only the code the website is built with, which we use for all our clients, remains ours.
How long until it’s online?
Five working days from signing.
What is the free preview?
It’s your website, actually built, which you look at before deciding anything. Not a sketch and not a quote: a working version, with your real details. It’s free and commits you to nothing.
Do I pay for the preview? What does it cost to ask for one?
You don’t pay for it: it costs zero francs. We ask for no deposit, credit card or signature to build it and show it to you, and if you say no in the end, you won’t get an invoice. You pay only the monthly fee, and only from the day you decide to go online with us.
Can I ask for a preview even if I didn’t get your letter?
Yes. The letter is simply how we introduce ourselves to local businesses: you can ask for a preview with the form at the bottom of this page or by writing to us, and we’ll build it all the same, on the same terms and always free.
All my work already comes by word of mouth. Do I need this?
Word of mouth goes through Google now: whoever hears your name looks you up before calling. Your website confirms what they were told, or contradicts it.
I already have Google and Instagram. Isn’t that enough?
On Google and Instagram you’re renting: the algorithm decides who sees you, and the rules change without warning. Your website is yours, and the bookings that come through it pay no commission.
I already paid for a website a few years ago.
With a subscription you never buy a website again: it stays up to date for as long as you’re a client. A website made in 2015 doesn’t read well on a phone today, and Google penalises it – the problem isn’t that it was badly made, it’s that nobody has touched it since.
I do my own Instagram.
And it shows you’re good at it. The point is time: eight posts a month take ten or so hours of your evenings.
